Frequently asked questions.

Are repairs done on the premises?

Yes. Repairs are done in the shop right here in our store, with a few exceptions. For example: alternative metal rings (cobalt chrome, titanium, tungsten, etc.), are unable to be sized.  The ring must be returned to the manufacturer and they would then remake the ring in your size. Another example would be watch repairs. We can test watch batteries, change the batteries and change watch bands. For mechanical or electronic issues, we send watches to our horologist and get an estimate to repair for you before any work is done.

Do you offer same day service on repairs?

Some simple repairs can be done same day or even while you wait.  If you need something done same day, give us a call and we will let you know if your repair can be done right away. There is a rush fee for same day service.

Do you do watch repairs?

Yes. We can test and change batteries here in our shop. Watch repair is a delicate process requiring specialized tools and training for which we have an expert horologist that we use. He will tell us what work needs to be done and what the cost of repair will be before any work is done. Only after approval will he begin repair work.

Do you buy jewelry?

Yes we do. If it is something that we think we can use, we will make you an offer you for the piece of jewelry, or putting it on consignment may be an option. If it is not something we can sell as is, we will give you an estimate of the scrap value.

How to care for your jewelry:

The best way to protect and care for your jewelry is by removing it. Here are six activities in which you should remove your jewelry:

Showering, Swimming, Exercising, Cleaning, Gardening, Sleeping

Also, contact with lotions, soaps, beauty products, cleaning chemicals, etc. can reduce jewelry's shine over time. Some gemstones are fragile and can break, crack, or scratch if not they are not removed during hands on activities. To prevent losing your jewelry, we recommend picking out a jewelry box or special dish to keep your jewelry safe when not being worn. It is always good to take it off and store in the same place every time.

We also recommend that you have your jewelry checked by a jeweler once a year.
